SPECIAL NOTICE

An American Major, Captain and two GI’s arrived in a jeep from our troops in Rostock and have been informed of the situation.  The Major stated plans are in effect for us to be evacuated by air.  It is now known that Major Neelander, USAAF, and W/O Sparks, RAF, have contacted the Allies. 

Col. Moss, an American, has arrived to speak to General Aristoff about our evacuation.  General Aristoff stated that General Montgomery can be expected shortly.

There is no definite news about the actual start of our evacuation. 

The Russians visitors here today include General Aristoff, Major General Sakovich, and General Borisoff who is a veteran of Stalingrad. 

BBC NEWS    An order from F/M Keitel to the German Armed Forces told the Germans to remain in their positions.  He forbade any destruction of works or scuttling of ships.  The Pilsen Skoda Works strike started on May 1.  Demonstrations are reported throughout German occupied Czechoslovakia.  In Berlin, the smoke is lifting from the city and order is being restored.  The curfew imposed in Hamburg has been lifted.  Princess Juliana has arrived in southern Holland and is returning to the Hague and Amsterdam with Prince Bernhardt.
